Stepper motor power stage MSD325 - Compact microstepping power stage for CNC and automation
The MSD325 stepper motor power amplifier is a compact and powerful Microstepping power stage for 2-phase stepper motors and is ideal for CNC milling, laser systems, engraving machines, X-Y tables, pick-and-place systems and automation applications. Thanks to modern Microstepping technology the power amplifier provides one quiet engine running, reduced vibrations and precise positioning, which makes it ideal for applications with high requirements for accuracy and smooth running.
The MSD325 works with a supply voltage of 12 to 24 volts DC and supports an adjustable motor current of 0.39 to 2.5A peak, which makes them particularly suitable for NEMA 17 and smaller NEMA 23 stepper motors suitable. The power amplifier enables the bipolar constant current chopper technology higher torque and better running characteristics as simple stepper motor drivers.
The power amplifier supports several Microstep resolutions (1,2,4 and 8 microsteps) and thereby enables precise movement sequences and clean machining results. Current strength and microsteps can be easily adjusted DIP switch Adjust and optimally adapt to the engine used. One Automatic power reduction when stationary reduces engine heating and improves energy efficiency.
The control takes place via standardized Step/Dir signals (PUL/DIR) or alternatively CW/CCW, which makes the MSD325 compatible with many common CNC controls such as Mach3, LinuxCNC, Arduino, GRBL and other motion controllers is compatible. Optically decoupled inputs also improve signal stability and protect against electrical interference.
