Our DYNACUT lubrication system MDE is a low-pressure system developed by us with a coaxial spray nozzle for mist-free coolant application. In this system, the coolant container is under a pressure of between 0.3 to 1.5 bar via a pressure control valve, depending on the viscosity of the coolant. This ensures that after switching on the compressed air supply, the lubricant and the blown air are guided separately from one another to the nozzle outlet at different pressures, where the finest coolant droplets are pressed into the air flow at the nozzle tip. The volume of the air flow at the nozzle tip and thus also the pressure are adjusted by an adjustable needle valve on the nozzle unit. The supply of cooling medium is also adjusted using a needle valve on the nozzle unit. When set correctly, the system works absolutely fog-free.
In this system, the lubricant and compressed air supply is switched on electrically via solenoid valves. The lubrication system can therefore be automated, i.e. switched on and off via a CNC control.
The big advantage of droplet cooling is that the fine microdroplets are so heavy that they do not spread into the ambient air throughout the room. Another advantage is that the air flow with the embedded droplets can be specifically directed towards the tool and workpiece, meaning there is hardly any overspray (loss of coolant).
Due to the low air pressure, significantly less compressed air is also required. A small compressor is sufficient to supply compressed air.
This system can be operated with all common cooling media that are suitable for minimal quantity lubrication. Different viscosities are not a problem.
Our cooling system can be used on all common drilling, turning, milling and sawing machines. It is particularly suitable for aluminum processing and for cooling on CNC-controlled engraving machines.
